The acquired site was a derelict sculptor’s art studio, purchased direct from the owner.
Salt engaged closely with Wandsworth Council’s design team to find a creative design solution. The proposal uses an industrial language, aiming to echo the properties’ historic use and setting.
The development was for a mews house and seven additional flats over five stories. A basement will be constructed from contiguous piles. The warehouse element is in brick with oxidised Coreten steel cladding to the third floor and mew house roof.
