The acquired site was a derelict sculptor’s art studio, purchased direct from the owner.
Salt engaged closely with Wandsworth Council’s design team to find a creative design solution. The proposal uses an industrial language, aiming to echo the properties’ historic use and setting.
The development was for a mews house and seven additional flats over five stories. A basement will be constructed from contiguous piles. The warehouse element is in brick with oxidised Coreten steel cladding to the third floor and mew house roof.
Salt disposed of the site having gained planning permission.
